'Snapshot' by Rebecca Chesney

Now is its second year, Change & Interchange is a practical experiment in new ways of working for the Peter Scott Gallery.

The Gallery is run as a modular space, responsive to a changing programme of exhibitions and events. A series of weekly ‘Tuesday Talks’, established in partnership with Lancaster University’s Fine Art Department, are at the core of this Autumn '16 edition, titled Environment | Landscape.

An exhibition featuring works from the Gallery collection, and special events such as screenings, lectures and symposia, will add context to the talks programme and Environment | Landscape exhibition.

Visit the Peter Scott Gallery to see two special exhibitions, including new work from visiting artists and treasures from our own collection.

The Upper Level of the Peter Scott Gallery hosts Environment | Landscape, a shared exhibition of works from our visiting artists. Nine artists present unique ways of understanding the places we live in, pass through or can imagine differently, exploring the network of conditions which colour our relationship to landscape and environment.
The Manton Room hosts Other Ways of Looking at Nature, with rarely seen treasures from our collection.

Alongside our weekly Tuesday Talks, a series of special events adds social, cultural and political context to the Autumn programme

We invite eight local, national and international artists to speak at the Peter Scott Gallery on Tuesday lunchtimes. These talks - open to all - invite practitioners to think beyond a curriculum vitae style presentation. This means you might encounter an artist’s current interest, a specific facet of their practice or a live piece of work.

We also have a series of special events, beginning with a screening of Drop Citya documentary about the Colarado counterculture and commune.
