In the city... (a sneak peak)
In what will be less than an hour, when I hit publish, I'll be joining the rest of the creative team (with the exception of Fiona, who is looking after her newborn twins!) to give some of our supporters, loyal audiences, and a handful of new visitors a bit of an insight into what we might have in store for them in the upcoming season.
The closer we are getting to finalising the visiting projects and companies for the Autumn, the more exciting I am getting and I hope that our audiences won't be too shy, and will follow us into the city where a bigger than ever chunk of our work will take place.
I won't give too much away just yet, but one thing I can tell you is that we'll be travelling around the city, sometimes to other theatre spaces, such as the Dukes for imitating the dog's adaptation of A Farewell to Arms and sometimes to more unusual spaces for performance, such as pubs... (more on that very soon!)
For our music programme, Fiona has been plotting a metaphorical journey with Giovanni Sollima, whose performance alongside Kathryn Stott will tickle the imagination of classical music lovers and 'metalheads' alike... (according to Yo-Yo Ma!), and in the gallery, we will be Testing Media and thinking about how one might collect live art or performance...
Exciting, isn't it? Well... watch this space, there's more!
