LOOK/15 volunteer Elizabeth Lindley

For two months our gallery volunteers worked extremely hard to curate their exhibition 'The Females of the Factory: Women's Contribution to Pilkington's Tiles and Pottery'. We thought you might like to find out a bit more about our volunteer curators. Our fourth blog entry is by Elizabeth Lindley.

I’m a second year Fine Art student at Lancaster University.  I have been volunteering with the Peter Scott Gallery since starting my course here in 2013. I got involved with the LOOK/15 exhibition because it was an excellent opportunity to gain an understanding of the process involved in curating an exhibition in a professional gallery. Having the chance to collaborate with an international photography festival has been a challenging but thoroughly enjoyable experience. I feel I have learnt a lot about curation and the project has only increased my passion to work within a professional arts organisation in the future.
