LOOK/15 volunteer Robbie Di Vito

For two months our gallery volunteers worked extremely hard to curate their exhibition 'The Females of the Factory: Women's Contribution to Pilkington's Tiles and Pottery'. We thought you might like to find out a bit more about our volunteer curators. Our fifth blog entry is by Robbie Di Vito.

I am in my first year of University studying Fine Art. I decided to volunteer at the Peter Scott Gallery because it seemed like an interesting and worthwhile thing to do, and it is. Likewise with the LOOK/15 exhibition, I was told about it and thought it sounded like a good opportunity to do something that would leave me with a decent insight into what curating an art exhibition actually involves. As for any future aspirations that I might have, other than becoming the next Salvador Dali (though perhaps with a slightly bigger ego) I really think that working as a technician in an art gallery would be a more than appropriate career path for me.
