For two months our gallery volunteers worked extremely hard to curate their exhibition 'The Females of the Factory: Women's Contribution to Pilkington's Tiles and Pottery'. We thought you might like to find out a bit more about our volunteer curators. Our first blog entry is by Lauren Hollowday.

I am a second year Fine Art student, as well as a member of the Box Office team for Live at LICA. I got involved with the LOOK/15 exhibition because of the charm of the photographs, and for the challenge of curating within a professional gallery. Being part of both an international photography festival and OPEN 2015 has been such a great opportunity to learn and, as an aspiring artist, gain an insight into the other side of putting together an exhibition.
