CALL OUT FOR MUSICIANS, BANDS, POETS AND SPOKEN WORD IN LANCASTER

Date: 27th February

Doors open: 8pm

The Juke Joint and Needless Alley Collective present an intimate night of music and poetry, merging both artistic forms into a celebration of the intimate, the humane, the political-conscious and experimentation.

We are looking for musicians and bands to come and play small 30mins sets at Juke Joint (previously known as Lord Ashton Pub). We are open to any styles of music, really and it would be good to have a variety of styles. The evening's first band will be London-based trip-hop duo $hift$ (members of Needless Alley Collective, their music can be found here: https://soundcloud.com/h-i-f-t

Poets and spoken word artists will join performance maker Xavier de Sousa (Needless Alley Collective, Rosana Cade, Tim Etchells). Any style of spoken word is welcome, although preference will be given to artists whose writing is of a politically-conscious nature.

The evening is a one-off to coincide with Needless Alley's residency at Live at LICA in Lancaster and all money from the door sales (and pass the bucket on the night) will be spilt equally between all artists.

If you would like to get involved, please do get in touch ASAP:
