Song 13

wow - it just keeps going and going and this is an upbeat number to celebrate travelling in it's widest sense. Nearly up to date with my updates and got a few ideas for the next song which will be an improvisation I believe. In the meantime here's thinking about the next great meals in HK and Shanghai. All the best to the friends out there xxx

Song 12

4 years ago I went with Kathryn to work with Makoto and Hugh on the WHALETONE opera in Ezuko Hall Theatre which is very close to Sendai. We made great friends there as we worked with people in the community on the opera. As soon as the Tsunami hit we thought of them and I have agreed to make a long project with Makoto to consider the impact on the people and the place.

Song 10

This was my song for Kathryn. I never wrote her a proper song for her last birthday and this is a starter for ten ! It follows our Italian holiday when my dress style was not up to the natives beautiful clothing. Still - its what she's got. The Sunshine reference is about her recent award in Morecambe for services to Entertainment. Love her as always xxxx

Song 9

So it's getting dark, the wind is strong, the rain is coming in and I'm moving soon into the zone of my friends the other side of the International Date Line - Sydney at 11, Sendai at 12, Hong Kong at 1 (8 am their time each time).

Spent a good deal of the last hour starting to process music so it can be listened to. This will get easier. What will it feel like as it gets dark? who knows...

Song 6

WOW - that was a panic - almost out of time by the time it got to 6pm. Had to go down to get a heater and some gaffer tape and check that security know that I am up here! All good and a motivational accordion blues written for my daughter and her friend in Belfast. Hooray.  The next one is going to be a comic limeric style featuring animals - send me ideas !
