Arts Award Support in Lancaster

Organisations bearing the Arts Award Supporter badge offer activities, events, expertise or resources that help young people working towards their Arts Award.

At Lancaster Arts, based on the Lancaster University campus, we offer Arts Award Support in variety of different ways in our capacity as Theatre, Concert Hall, Gallery and Museum. We aim to support young people build their confidence, experiment with new mediums and develop their creativity independently as part of the Arts Award.

We encourage Arts Award centers to contact our Engagement Manager to discuss your groups’ needs and create a bespoke package.

There is no charge for basic Arts Award support however we cannot cover the cost of transportation to and from Lancaster Arts.

ARTS AWARD DISCOVER

  • Behind the Scenes Tour of Lancaster Arts, highlighting different art forms [Discover the Arts]

  • Lancaster Arts can provide presentation spaces and workshops including group discussion and feedback [Share]

ARTS AWARD EXPLORE

  • Lancaster Arts can provide exhibitions tours and research support. Lancaster Arts also occasionally has the capacity to facilitate meet the artist sessions. [Explore] •
  • Lancaster Arts can offer young people the chance to display their work and talk about it to their group and/or visitors [Present]

ARTS AWARD BRONZE

  • Lancaster Arts can offer young people the opportunity to attend performances (theatre and dance), music events and exhibitions for free or at discounted rates [Arts Review]
  • Lancaster Arts can offer young people the opportunity to publish relevant material online, on the Lancaster Arts blog and third party sites such as in student press or Arts Award Voice [Arts Review]
  • Lancaster Arts can provide bespoke workshops on the contemporary artists we are working with or artists in our collection [Arts Inspiration]
  • Lancaster Arts can offer young people the opportunity to attend meet the artist sessions [Arts Inspiration]
  • Lancaster Arts has a limited capacity to offer some young people the opportunity to help run workshops, or support certain staff members’ activity [Arts Skills Share]
  • Note: Key Stage 3 activity in the gallery undertaken in association with LUSU Schools Programme can count towards achieving the Bronze Arts Award.

ARTS AWARD SILVER
