Alexander Kerr - violin, Paul Watkins - cello, Anton Nel - piano

Welsh-born Paul Watkins, one of the leading musicians of his generation as both cellist and conductor, is joined in this concert by two players who share his love of chamber music: the American, Alexander Kerr, who was appointed Concertmaster of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra at the age of 26, and the South African-born Anton Nel, a prizewinner at the 1984 Leeds International Piano Competition and a busy soloist and recitalist. Their programme combines two of Debussyís exquisite late sonatas, showing the composerís admiration for French baroque music, with two of the most powerful and searching works by his younger contemporary, Ravel.

Tickets: £13.50, £11 (£11, £8.50 concessions) young person £5
