Chair Dance (Curate the Campus 2012)

If you have ever worked in an office, you will no doubt be familiar with the textured plastic arms and dysfunctional height adjusting lever of the standard issue chair you are given to sit on. We’ve all been there, spinning around whilst blindly searching underneath the seat for that elusive lever. You find it, lift it, and plummet to the floor at break neck speed. Otherwise there’s the office chair race! We’ve all done it, or wanted to do it.... and it’s always less than graceful. This is something that’s about to change.

A group of contemporary dancers will make use of these common office antics in a performance which will take place across various campus locations.

This event is a collaboration between Live at LICA, Ludus Dance and Storey Gallery.
