Live at LICA: 'In the City'
Event held at The Dukes, Lancaster

★★★★  “Highly honed... superb” The Stage
★★★★  “Thrilling... thought provoking” Edinburgh Festivals Magazine
★★★★  “Intense... dark imaginings” The Herald

Shortlisted Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award

Performed daily by four new actors, reading blind.  From writer/director David Leddy, multi-award-winning ‘maverick’ (Guardian), ‘genius’ (Scotsman), ‘leading innovator’ (Times).

Four lamps, four laptops, four lawyers.  A UN tribunal presents explosive interviews from Judith K, an African warlord’s wife. A car-bomb kills her husband and Judith becomes leader. She takes her people on a treacherous path towards peace. Or does she?  Intense drama where sex, power and politics meet emotion, seduction and destruction. Lawyers turn down lamps one by one, then laptops, until we’re left in darkness.

Double-billed with downloaded drama City Of The Blind.
Warning: Sexual Violence
