We are delighted to welcome back our friends from the stunning orchestra of Opera North under the direction of one of the UK’s best loved pianists, Howard Shelley. They have just released the complete Beethoven concerti on disc to huge critical acclaim and Shelley will direct the magnificent “Emperor” from the keyboard. The evening is topped off with Dvořák’s patriotic 8th symphony, infused with the Bohemian melodies that he loved. Dvorak said “God grant that this Czech music will move the world!" - we’re sure that in the hands of these superb musicians, it will.
