Flesh and Blood film
CASCPP and the Nuffield Theatre are delighted to present previously unseen screenings of performances from two of Britain’s foremost contemporary dance companies. The screenings will be accompanied by a lecture from internationally renowned artistic director, Lea Anderson.
Flesh & Blood (2005 version)
Taking its inspiration from Dreyer’s 1928 film The Passion Of Joan Of Arc, images by M.C. Escher, and Medieval art, Flesh & Blood was first made for the all-female Cholmondeleys in 1989, and is now considered a classic. This reworked 2005 film version is performed by an all-male cast in a stunning theatrical setting.
Double Take (2005 version)
Double Take is a selection of short, witty, gems taken from past shows including Featherstonehaughs Go Las Vegas, Big Feature, and The Show, and performed cabaret-style by an all-female cast accompanied by the band Bog Standards.
