Libor Novacek, piano
A formidable Liszt interpreter, the Prague-born Libor Novacek has already been compared to such great pianists as Claudio Arrau and Wilhelm Kempff, his music-making described as being of ëexceptional poetic verve and inwardnessí. The former Young Concert Artists Trust performer follows a delightful sonata from Hadynís middle period and eight capriccios and intermezzos from Brahmsís middle years, with the fantastic nine-part product of the Swiss period of Lisztís colourful years of pilgrimage.

£6 Young personIt's always welcome to see a major musician at the start of what promises to be a terrific career. There seems something very special about this artist. It's evident in the hushed, reflective passages, in the whole sense of a pianist who knows how a piece should go. One to watch indeed.'
