Since Jack Liebeck made his concerto debut with the Hallé Orchestra aged 15, he has gone on to perform all over Europe, Asia and the USA and is fast becoming a national treasure. He pairs two extremely well-loved violin sonatas by Brahms and Debussy with two far too rarely heard ones. However, it is always rewarding to get to know works by English composer Frank Bridge and the grand Corigliano sonata is a tour de force for the violin which promises an immensely enjoyable end to this concert.
