Live Art Campers - SPACES STILL AVAILABLE
SOME LAST-MINUTE SPACES HAVE OPENED UP FOR THIS EVENT. IF YOU'RE INTERESTED, CALL FRENCH MOTTERSHEAD DIRECT ON 07914 420709.
A mini-break for North-West based emerging artists, led by Rebecca French and Andrew Mottershead.
We’ll cook, sleep and eat together. We’ll go on socially-engineered walks through woods and hills, sharing creative experiences. We’ll sit around the campfire, drinking and chatting under the stars, giggling, telling stories, arguing about whose turn it is to do the washing-up.
Interspersed with this frivolity will be sessions, introduced by Rebecca and Andrew, drawing on our their experiences, but very much about the group sharing ideas and methodologies. These will cover topics such as being strategic and creative with marketing to audiences, programmers and funders; keeping in touch with work; setting up the support networks we need; easing the load through collaborations; proposal-writing etc.
We’ll be based at Roeburndale Camping Barn, in a secluded meadow on the banks of the River Roeburn and surrounded by native woodlands. To get to the barn, we will walk for a mile across uneven ground and cross a swingbridge over the river. www.middlewood.org.uk.
The deadline for this project has already passed, but there will be more DIY projects in the North West next summer. For more information, contact Alice on email@example.com
About the Artists
