Tonight eight of their musicians combine in different formations for a varied evening of music. The Danzi quartet offers a delightful showpiece for the bassoonist and the evening opens with a condensed version of the riotous, cheeky and characterful Strauss tone poem, Till Eulenspeigel (einmal anders - in another way!). There’ll also be a surprise new work by Camerata’s talented composer-in-residence Brahim Kerkour.
The ensemble concludes with the masterly Schubert Octet - as dramatic and heartfelt a piece of chamber music as you’ll ever hear.
