Thurs 8 May, 1-2pm: Rosie Cooper & Vanessa Boni (Liverpool Biennial)
As the Project Curator and Public Programmes Curator at Liverpool Biennial 2014 Rosie and Vanessa play key roles in defining the themes, shape and delivery of the North West's biggest contemporary art happening. With this year's edition rapidly approaching we'll hear about what to expect from the programme and what you might want to prioritise when visiting.
Fri 9 May, 1-2 pm: Marcelle Holt (Toast Will Host / DIY Art School)
Manchester is a city fast developing through artist-led activities with a grassroots scene genuinely fortified by a peer to peer network of artists supporting each other. Find out about one of the latest initiatives in the city from curator/DIY Art School founder Marcelle Holt (Toast Will Hoast) based in the city's latest 'New Art Space' Federation House.
Sat 10 May, 1-2pm: When Art meets Community
What help can artist-led projects provide in solving challenges faced by local communities in the Lancashire region? In this talk a panel including Alistair Hudson from Grizedale Arts (Cumbria), Kerry Morrison from in-situ (Pendle) and Lancaster University researcher share their experiences, and take questions from the floor during Live at LICA's inaugural Art & Community Day.
