Set in a brightly-lit square, surrounded by the audience, Shrink’d is a dance of extreme close-ups. Bite-size movements are interlaced with secret messages dedicated to unsuspecting members of the audience. Highlighting the intricacy of the body and the immediacy of performance, Shrink’d plays with the viewer as witness and accomplice.
Before and after the show you are invited to journey through a landscape of interactive environments. Two at a time, you encounter a projected image of a dancer, subtly affecting her movement as you pass by. Customised VJ decks offer a chance to scratch classic dance films on a giant screen, while a tiny virtual dancer performs to an audience of one.
