Tuesday Talk | Paulette Terry Brien
The Tuesday Talks programme invites artists, thinkers and curators to explore an aspect of their practice in a lunch-hour. Visiting speakers shape the form of their talk, so you can expect anything from in-depth discussion of a current interest to a live performance.
Paulette Terry Brien is Curator of the Grundy Art Gallery, Blackpool. Previously, Paulette was co-director of The International 3 gallery, Salford which, between 2010-2017, undertook the role of curatorial coordinator for The Manchester Contemporary. In addition to her work with The International 3, Paulette has, over the last 25 years, worked part-time and freelance for a number of organisations including Arts Council England and Creative Industries Development Service. She is regularly invited to deliver presentations within academic and professional development settings, has written articles, critical texts and catalogue contributions for a range of organisations including AXIS web, A-N, Manchester Art Gallery and Drawing Room, London and works as an artists' mentor. In 2016, Paulette completed an MPhil at Manchester Metropolitan University focused on the relationship between curating and the contemporary art fair.
