Seeing in the Dark: exploring cinema with your family

We're seeking families with a child 8yrs+, a parent and a grandparent to experience imitating the dog’s new digital project, Seeing in the Dark on 25 Sept 2022.

You’ll be invited into a room in Lancaster University Library, where you’ll find three viewing boxes that contain miniature scale models of classic cinemas. There, you’ll have a 5-minute tiny cinema experience with your family and meet the director of the project.

Afterwards, over tea, juice, and cake, we’d like to ask you all a few questions about your experience, and what going to the cinema means to you.

We can also host an additional child (8yrs+), parent or grandparent, or a different intergenerational group composition – just let us know more about your family or group!

Note we will be making a 1-2 min video out of this coffee afternoon with filmmaker Jonny Randall.

This event takes place at 2pm on Sunday 25 Sept (will last 1.5 hours).

If you are interested, please contact us at producers@lancasterarts.org and we can share full details.
