Collections

Welcome to our Art Collections

Lancaster Arts cares and curates a rich and varied collection spanning thousands of years, from ancient Egypt and Greece to contemporary work created by new artists.

Based at the Peter Scott Gallery, our collections offer inspiration for artists and students, opportunities for research, and the chance for visitors to explore and enjoy human creativity – past and present.

We invite you to experience the collections through visiting our gallery exhibitions, arranging a behind-the-scenes visit to see works not on display, or connecting with the collections online.

We are currently working on an exciting new digitisation project to make our collection more accessible to everyone. Please stay tuned for more information. In the meantime, why not go and check out some of our unique works on our Art UK page PSG Art UK webpage

If you have any queries, would like to book a research or group visit, or just fancy a chat about some of our artworks, please contact our Collections Co-ordinator: Adam Robinson at adam@lancasterarts.org
