Claver Hill Community Farm

Claver Hill is a community growing project, located on six acres of land on the edge of Lancaster.

Getting there

The site is easily accessible by car, although on-site parking is limited to 8–10 vehicles, please leave these spaces for those who need them. Please do not park in the layby or on the roads opposite the site entrance, as these are used by lorries from local farms.

Lancaster High School, situated a few minutes walk from Claver Hill, have kindly offered their car park to be used by visitors. Pleas be aware this car park will be available between 16:30 and 19:30 on Sunday 12 July. The gates will open and closed automatically during these times. Please be aware if you have not moved your car out of the car park by 19:30 the gates will be locked and there will not be anyone on site who can open them.

The nearest bus stop is on Keswick Road (Lyth Rd bus stop), approximately an 8-minute walk to the Claver Hill site, although the route is uphill. Please be aware the pavements and dropped kerbs are uneven and part of the route has no pavement. We do not recommend this route for wheelchairs. Accessible parking is available at Claver Hill.

The No. 10 bus from Lancaster Bus Station runs every 30 minutes, and the journey takes approximately 20 minutes.
