OPEN15: Artist Summit - Lunchtime Talk: Laurence Payot, Andrew Gannon, Romany Dear

Events

The first of two lunchtime talks featuring artists working at the convergence of fine art, conceptual art and performance – whose productions are distinctly post 20th Century.

Born in France Laurence Payot is based in Royal Standard Studios, Liverpool and was nominated for the city’s Art Prize in 2013. Payot’s work is regularly produced in public places with participation from the public.

Romany Dear is a Glasgow based artist, teacher and choreographer who has just finished a major exhibition at the city's CCA venue. The exhibition incorporated a programme of live dance and movement performances and workshops that happened weekly in the gallery space throughout the six weeks

Andrew Gannon is currently exhibiting in the Centre Pompidou's nouveau festival. His work involves minimal actions that place participant and object in a timed duet for a pre-determined length of time.

Chaired by Dr Alice Booth (Creative Producer, Live at LICA)
