17OPEN | Diverse Actions: Daniel Brine & Afreena Islam in conversation

Events

Join Cambridge Junction Director Daniel Brine and Independent Artist/Producer Afreena Islam for a discussion around our national project Diverse Actions.

Lancaster Arts is a member organisation of national network Live Art UK. The network has recently received an Arts Council England 'Ambition for Excellence' award to fund a three-year programme entitled Diverse Actions . Diverse Actions is an initiative which champions culturally diverse ambition, excellence and talent in Live Art.  Diverse Actions builds on Live Art’s vital role as a practice of artistic innovation and a space to express complex ideas of cultural identity.

Ahead of the project's launch this Spring, two members of its steering group, Daniel Brine (Director, Cambridge Junction) & Afreena Islam (Independent Artist & Producer) visit Lancaster Arts to discuss the project's ambitions and ideas.

We will also invite attendees to engage in an open conversation about how we might contribute to Diverse Actions' vision of supporting a culturally diverse talent pool in our local area.

Join us to find out more about Diverse Actions and for a discussion on what this project might inspire us to do in Lancaster.
