In partnership with Lancaster University School of Arts.

Join us for our free artist conversation programme. Artists making exciting work across a range of media will be joined by researchers or those working in relevant fields to discuss the ideas, themes and questions driving their work. There will be plenty of opportunity for the audience to join in the conversation and connect with artists working in our region and beyond.

Our first conversation of the season is with Alistair Debling.

Alistair makes films, photographs, performances, meals and installations. His work investigates diverse fields, from queer nightlife and ecology to militarism, agriculture and architecture. Through sustained engagement with a particular community, he likes to discover unlikely connections: what does a nuclear power station have in common with a disco ball? A dairy cow with a canonised saint? A gay bar with a wild elephant?
