Is 'The Vagina Monologues' relevant today?

On the 20th year anniversary of the Vagina Monologues, this event explores it's relevance to feminism in 2016.
Dr Celia Roberts: Co-Director of the Centre for Gender and Women's Studies and also, with Anne Cronin, Joint Doctoral Director in the Department of Sociology. Celia teaches an MA course, 'Gender, Sex and Bodies' which is a core course for our Women's Studies Programme, as well as co-teaching the bi-annual MA course and summer school on Feminist Technosciece Studies (this year's theme is 'Care Matters').
Prof Geraldine Harris: Geraldine (Gerry) Harris lectures in LICA. In 2003, with Professor Elaine Aston, she lead a three year research project entitled Women's Writing for Performance. This project resulted in two book publications, Feminist Futures? Theatre, Theory, Performance and Process and Practice: Contemporary [Women] Practitioners. Since then Gerry has been publishing articles and chapters on theatre, performance and television bringing together these interests in her contribution to her latest book (also co-authored book with Elaine Aston) A Good Night Out for The Girls: Popular Feminisms in Contemporary Theatre and Performance, Palgrave, 2013.
