Please join Lancaster Arts and Small World Consulting for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing, followed by reflection and discussion on what’s happening with climate and nature, and what this means for everyday life in the UK now and in the future.
This eye-opening film brings together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence on how the cost of living, food security, extreme weather and health affects us all. Mike Berners-Lee, Chair of the National Emergency Briefing, and author of There is No Planet B, will introduce the film and facilitate the conversation alongside Jocelyn Cunningham, Director of Lancaster Arts.
The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK. For further information on this initiative, please go to nebriefing.org.
After the film, there is time to share how you feel and join an open discussion about what it means for our communities and what we can do locally here in Lancaster.
Tickets are Pay What You Wish, with proceeds going to the People’s Emergency Briefing campaign, after costs for this event. Booking essential.
“Attending the National Emergency Briefing has given me a real understanding of the urgency and horror of the climate challenge, whilst also making me feel hopeful.”
