The Be(A)st of Taylor Mac

The Be(A)st of Taylor Mac

Performance

A flamboyant chameleon of words, music and socio-political tirades, multi-award-winning New York sensation Taylor Mac sings of life and love, doubt and fear.

Accompanied only by a ukulele and a handful of minor props, Mac sings satirical, sometimes astonishingly tongue-twisting ditties that veer off on tangents - from comedic to political, joy to heartbreak, tender to harsh - in the blink of a sequinned eye. Sex is the predominant subject, but the usual issues that wind up the socially conscious young(ish) adult also surface... charming, intelligent and provocative.

Flawless, beautiful and charming

The Scotsman
Taylor Mac exposes every pained and bruised atom of his soul, in a hilarious, profoundly moving and courageous performance. When he sings you will almost definitely hear a little crack in your own heart as well as his.
