(IN)Sideshow is the latest work-in-progress from performance maker Tom Cassani, who blends contemporary circus with performance magic to question what the body can do – and what we believe it can do. This new piece looks at the hidden effort, repetition and private rituals behind acts that appear life-threatening, focussing on the strange and disciplined world of sword swallowing.
