The first of this season's weekly talks, in which artists explore how the use of humour informs their work, is with Maddi Nicholson and will take place on Zoom. The Zoom will be open from 12.30pm with the talk starting at 1pm.
Maddi produces stitched, cast iron, inflated and recycled plastic sculptures and paintings, using the humour embodied in the 'stuff of our lives' to engage with issues around place and community. Her 'Going home from here', an inflated replica of a Barrow terraced house, toured Cumbrian beauty spots.
