Weeding Cane: Song of Songs

Weeding Cane: Song of Songs

Performance

Song of Songs delicately explores the impossibility of love through the lives of the women on stage... A show with a great soundtrack, a few dance routines and some intimate, fragile stories.

A co-production with Contact Theatre / Co-commissioned by Nuffield Theatre, Lancaster.

The wedding table is set, the guests have arrived, the DJ has lined up the first dance, but where is the beloved? Song of Songs delicately explores the impossibility of love through the lives of the women on stage. At the heart of the show, a circus aerialist relies on her strength and daring. Can the performers apply these skills to their search for love?

A show with a great soundtrack, a few dance routines and some intimate, fragile stories.

Conceived and directed by Sonia Hughes, writer of previous Nuffield shows Weeding Cane and Company Fierce/Quarantine's fantastic Susan & Darren. Choreography by Jane Mason.

Suitable for ages 16+
