Chair for the Lancaster Arts Advisory Board
Chair for the Lancaster Arts Advisory Board
Lancaster Arts is very excited to be recruiting a new Chair for our Advisory Board. We are looking for someone who is curious and enthusiastic about working alongside us to champion exciting and cutting-edge contemporary arts beyond urban environments and help us to navigate the intersection of higher education and the arts.
Lancaster Arts is a combined arts organisation within the national portfolio of Arts Council England. We are a distinctive contemporary arts organisation in the northwest of England with a renowned reputation for original arts practices in all art forms.
Our home is at the heart of the beautiful Lancaster University campus, and our venues include the Great Hall, Nuffield Theatre and Peter Scott Gallery. We regularly host and produce work off campus in the Lancaster District and beyond. We host a wide spectrum of events and participatory opportunities across contemporary theatre, dance, classical and contemporary music, visual art, live art, and contemporary circus. Our commissioned work supports artists who live in the north and we strengthen networks with sister arts organisations to do this. We work locally, regionally, and internationally. Please visit our website to learn more about us.
Lancaster Arts is committed to reflecting the rich diversity of the UK throughout our work. We strongly welcome applications from disabled, D/deaf and/or neurodiverse people and those from the Global Majority.
Our outgoing Chair, Alan Dix has been an inspiration and huge support since 2021 and we hope to find someone to step in this summer. Please see more about the role and the application here.
