Erlendis Quartet

Formed in Poland in 2013, the Erlendis Quartet has established itself as one of the most exciting quartets of their generation. With tours across the USA, Canada, and Europe, their Lancaster performance will be their first recital here in the UK and we are proud to host their UK debut. The name is derived from the Icelandic word for ‘overseas’, reflecting the quartet’s dedication to exploring beyond the boundaries of the familiar guitar quartet. Their telepathic ensemble playing, broad dynamic range and emotional yet precise interpretations are signature features and Lancaster Arts is delighted to introduce these remarkable musicians to our programme.
