Our Tuesday Talks invite artists to make a presentation about their ideas or practice, but to think beyond a curriculum vitae style presentation.
Jessie Brennan is a visual artist. In her practice she explores the representation of places through processes of drawing and dialogue, informed by their social histories and changing contexts. The places she chooses are often sites of contradiction, inextricably shaped by urban development. Her work responds to the political, economic and class contexts of specific sites, informed by a direct engagement with the individuals who occupy them.
